Oh, 2020….
As if the pandemic that’s defined this year wasn’t overwhelming enough, the world has lost another great one. And while the conversation of a Supreme Court Justice typically becomes political, not at Birdie. For us, our commitment is to women, their experiences, validation of those experiences as their truths, and authentic empowerment. Connecting with and holding space for one another to go through what we need to, and doing so stylishly. For us, this is who RBG was. If you think about her legacy from this perspective and apply it to your life and the life of your loved ones, the sides fade away.
We’re thankful that Mignonne Gavigan has designed these very ornate, hand-beaded brooches of RBG. Thankful that we’ll have this stylish keepsake; and whether we wear it or tuck it away, we’ll have a piece of history. Thankful that we can gift them to our family members, friends, and even strangers. Because the gift of RBG keeps the conversation going, allowing us to connect through our experiences. To come together, in a year of great divide.
