1. GO TRANSLUCENT.

Spring Break is the perfect opportunity to throw on your favorite translucent number. You can find these pieces easily this time of year because they double as cover-ups at the beach, too. If yours feels too translucent, you can always throw on a light slip dress underneath. These are just as comfy and may give you more confidence that you’re not baring it all. Birdie James has some amazing translucent dresses by Le Soleil Miami, and we’re always carrying Yummie slip dresses, a chic line by RHONY alum, Heather Thomson!

2. BALANCE IS KEY.

Make it look like you’re not trying too hard. Imagine yourself tossing your hair and saying “what? this ole thang?” in your most playful voice. You can be polished and put together and still border on messy. I find that this is easiest for me when doing my hair. And I’ve been this way since high school. It’s that low side bun that took me almost thirty minutes to strategically work and rework, but damn it looks good. And best, I feel good.

3. DON’T ALWAYS OPT FOR SHORT.

Believe it or not, a longer skirt is more flattering on most women. If you’re new to this, try one with a slit. They’re on trend right now, so they’re out there and you’ll still feel sexy because you’ll show a bit of skin and have movement as you walk. It’s a win, win!
