The holidays are that time of year when we all seem to really go for it with our looks. We love the “more is more” philosophy during these winter months, but it can be intimidating to some when it comes to dressing up and out of your comfort zone.
If you don’t even know where to start when it comes to holiday styling, or if you just want to keep it simple and cozy, we urge you to play with textures this holiday season. If you tend to stay away from color, you can create plenty of visual interest by mixing fabrics and textures within the same hue. An all-black outfit becomes all the more interesting when you add in some velvet or leather. One of our favorite examples is this feather tank from Molly Bracken. While it is modern and simplistic in its silhouette, the addition of the cream feathers over the cream knit instantly makes this a party piece.
